@Adam: Oh nice, I had given up hope that anyone would get the reference! The first is a modified version of the Black Falcons, so they're all LEGO castles factions. I just didn't want to completely copy the original shields. And the chest is a LEGO coin chest, of course. And the strong colors are inspired by LEGO boxes.
Great point about standing on top of the grass rather than in the grass. Copy-paste fail on my part.

I am not sure about the first, but the rest seem to be 80s-90s LEGO castles factions (Lion Knights, Wolfpack Renegades, Forestmen).
As for the pixels: I like the clean rendering and the strong colors. I am not so sure about the wind animation though. It suggests a deep grass but the characters just stand on top of it. Have you tried sinking their feet into the grass?
Wow, so true. I kinda thought more about pixel art technique though, but after a quick search I see how you made the pixel art adaptation of some examples. Great!
Thanks! The idea was from Studio Ghibli. Miyazaki loves wind on grass and so do I. 
And these are very "soulsy". I don't know where did you get that wind animation on grass idea, but it's incredible.

Fantastic! I did not notice the colour reference but it makes perfectly sense. Maybe subconscious. I can't believe I did not recognise Black Falcons! They were my favourite.
