I began this warrior guy for a walking animation tutorial I wrote a couple days ago, and then I sort of got carried away and kept adding stuff. The cape was just about the hardest thing I've ever animated (someone needs to write a tutorial for that!), and I'm still not 100% happy with it, but I think this guy is fun to look at overall. Each version is just 8 colors and fits inside 32x24 pixels.

Thanks skooba-dude! I would love to do this stuff professionally but I've never been able to find a way to make it pay. In about a week or two I'll be launching the Toxic Sonic game on my site (manningkrull.com/games) - check it out if you're interested!
Wow, man, thank you! No, there's no game in the works at all; I'm really just trying to hone my skills after taking a long break from pixel art. I would love to design some games, one of these days, but I need to get better at some of the basics first. The fact that there's a sort of unifying theme in the recent pieces is just because I really love monsters and think about them all the time.
Third piece in a row from you that was absolutely überleet. Is there some sort of game in the works? I could imagine this guy being the protagonist and the vampire being one of the enemies. Anyway, I've liked every piece of yours so far, and this is my second-favorite next to the coffin vampire. The animation is as smooth as butter. 5/5.
Thanks! Fluid and lifelike is what I was going for, which of course is a real challenge at this tiny size. I'd like to go back and add an attack animation, if I can muster up the courage...

Wow, that's awesome. Very fluid, especially for such a small size. Great work!
