Love your art Ink o/
Btw this one reminds me a little bit of one of the gods of the high wilderness, The Burrower Bellow.
Trigonomicon-
I should have had prepared a price for the first who recognized where the description is from
Fantastic work!
Also, "It's begining to look a lot like fishmen"? That's a blast from the past.
CELS - Yeah I was wondering that myself, and trying it out, but I felt it took a bit of attention away from his actual face, since the brightest colors are currently all just in the area of his head and moon. Similarly with the patterns I originally wanted on the monoliths, without adding a 9th color they just redirected the eye too strongly I think.
Thank you all ♥
Amazing, amazing, amazing. Great design, love the use of 8 colors and large clusters. Also dig how the moon and the stars peering through the clouds hints at that cosmic horror and human insignificance. It's like a portal.
Looking at it now though, I wonder if it might be benefitial to use some of the brighter colors on the monolith and ocean waves directly beneath the moon, outside of Dagon's shadow, making them slightly shinier. I don't know.
Now the rulers of the Philistines assembled to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god and to celebrate, saying, “Our god has delivered Samson, our enemy, into our hands.”
-Judges 16:23
Absolutely incredible work.
The moonlight here defines everything for whole painting.
Great scene. I really like how the sky contributes to the overall atmosphere of the piece. Makes the whole encounter more dramatic.
I read the book and I can say this is pretty accurate and gorgeous ^^
