I have to say I don't like the bold black lines, particularly on the face, at all.  Kudos for being experimental, though.

The facial anatomy here is very weak, too, I think you should do more face studies.

Very interesting new style. I personally however don't like the look of it. It suggests too much "old-mannishness" for me, what with the bold black lines around the eyes and descending from the corners of the nose. I assume he's not meant to be old, judging by the hat, hair and eyes. This is something like traditional comic book style, I think, with dark black shadows etc., but with some interesting variations. If you spend some time on it I think you could revise this style into something that is both interesting and more widely visually pleasing.

Wow. I've never seen a style like this before, but it looks brilliant! I like the eyes as well. A good example of ambient lighting made to look easy :D
