At the end of the day I enjoyed it. But yeah I feel like I was misusing the palette a little bit; it definitely works very well with intricate interesting patterns which I didn't really have the courage to try. Now that you mention the hair, I totally missed the opportunity to try to use more of the colours in there since there's some dense patterns.

Awesome! Nice to see someone trying it out. I didn't really have portraits in mind when making it, makes me want to try it out next week to see if I still like it.

Maybe the palette is a bit too tailor-made for me, the idea was to pick colors which would work well in any possible combination and also look nice on their own, so I could mix them completely freely and just put colors everywhere in the image. The ones you chose are nice though, a lot of times when using someone else's palette I just pick a subset of the colors too. Sometimes when you draw an image with a set of colors, a combination of just few of them can give you an idea for another drawing.

Anyway nice job on the potrait! Lighting is great of course and I like the hair, it's got a good texture.
