This is a good start for a shmup ship sprite. I don't know the reason why, but while it looks like the picture should have a handful of colours in the palette, the Image Specs Tool says there are almost 700 colours, lots of which seem to serve the same purpose as one another. If you could find out why that's the case and vastly reduce the number of colours while keeping the readability, I'd be happy to push this submission through.
As well, you should try editing your sprites on a background layer with a more muted colour. Both because it'll be easier on your eyes than staring at a bright-white colour for hours, and also because the white may influence how strongly you push the colour contrast and brightness of your palette.
