incredible. i strive to one day have a fraction of your talent.
About 5 weeks. But I worked most of the weekends all day on it, and few hours during the week too. These two took over 3 months each https://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/152747.htm, https://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/153963.htm. I cannot tell you how many hours, because my ADHD makes it pointless.
@Taks, I really had to check the dates of my uploads to search for a lack of consistency. I pixel every day, and I haven't noticed that I'm so erratic in posting. Thank you.

I found this boss and it's arena particularly beautiful also because of its colour scheme. Some combination of turquoises, shappires, amethyst and gold, which is a kind of split complementary scheme, i guess? In the game those colours are of course very bleak and dull, and they mostly look like browns and greys, but they are there and I took them. I just made them more saturated and juicy to look more pixel art'ish.

@specialmin64, if you like Soulsgames you won't regret it. This game is amazing and beautiful. For all the fans of Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, Elden Ring or Demon's Souls, who tried to find similar thing and always were dissapointed in either gameplay, or artstyle, or the story, or the feeling - this is the first one in my opinion that hits all the boxes of a From Soft game, while not being one.

@SeDice, it is very rewarding to read your comment. I must admitt there is a lazy part on the upper half of the monsters body, where the rendering rather marked than clean :P
hell yeah this makes me want to play this game some day. I remember the premise sounding kinda dumb and funny, but your demake-ification of it might have won me over

I don't know anything about the original game, but this is amazing. Such subtle texturing and lighting and so confidently and cleanly rendered.
