I agree about the useless black outline, it's gone now. The picture was originally used in a demo with effects in the background, so the outline was there to avoid the anti aliasing looking messy on a lighter background... I also darkened the eyelid a bit.

I love the texture, but I don't like the thick black dotted outline. You could draw a background to blend it better.

This is really beautiful. The texture is gorgeous - it reminds me of stone, and the face itself is very lovely. I find that frayed looking shadow/outline very distracting though. I don't really understand what it is supposed to add to the image, and it seems very rough and flat compared to the face itself. It's not an asethetically pleasing type of contrast either. I think the piece would be much better without it.

I believe that a bunch of hair on the top-left corner would help the composition a lot. And it is indeed an unique way of dithering!
