As the title suggests, this piece is a study of Pond Lilies by american painter Willard Metcalf. I did not trace and mostly refrained from colour picking

I mainly did this to torture-- uhh, I mean challenge myself and improve with cooler colours since I am not very strong with them. Playing with new ways to detail foliage and trying to squeeze in as much detail with the palette as possible also became extra goals, and as usual I got carried away with this one. I guess this was my first study from a painting too!
