(inspired or) Loosely based on Excalibur that had been thrown to water after King Arthur death.
Amira Pendragon, the last living descendant of King Arthur, has always felt an unexplainable connection to legends of old—especially the tale of Excalibur, her ancestor’s mythical sword. Growing up, Amira thought these were mere fables, but a series of strange visions convinces her otherwise. She sees herself as Arthur, watching Sir Bedivere throw Excalibur into the depths, only for it to resurface centuries later in the River Styx, the deadly passage of souls in the underworld.
Armed with fragments of ancient texts and a pendant her family has guarded for generations, Amira embarks on a perilous journey from the shores of Britain to the edges of the underworld. Her path leads her to the Styx, a river guarded by spirits hungry for redemption and peace, yet bound to eternal torment. Amira’s mission is simple: retrieve Excalibur and restore it as a beacon for humanity, but the risks are greater than she could ever have imagined.
As she approaches the Styx, Amira encounters the souls of past warriors, fallen kings, and even her own ancestors. Each one attempts to sway her, either with warnings or temptations, and she finds herself balancing on the edge of sanity, haunted by voices of those who wish to drag her into the river’s depths. A chilling choice awaits: abandon the quest and live, or face the unknown consequences of claiming the sword....
