This is my second ever piece that I have made, and the first of my pixel art to have undergone some redoing and recrafting. Originally, the piece was a rough of what you see - and I even made the mistake of using mixels, as most beginners like me tend to do. After having gone back and redone most of what made it awkward and tweaking a few bits to offer a more realistic approach, I can comfortably say that I am 'content' with this as a finished piece.
This is largely just a static pose of a woman inspecting her guitar to ensure it is ready to be played. Testing the strings, calibrating the tuning, etc. The light source is aimed to be in the background, off to the right of her.
I did originally want to post this on the forums as a WIP, just so I could get some advice from people who are experts at this stuff for now, but the site requires me to obtain points before I can do that, so here we are. I didn't use any other art piece as reference, only looked up general information regarding the electric base (i.e. How many strings they have, as well as some real life examples as to what they could look like, and a general shape.)
I believe I've followed all the rules listed above, it's my first time using this site, so please bare with me if I happen to cause any issues. I assure you, they are unintentional. |
Looks pretty good and welcome to the site!! If you're looking for feedback, the discord is a wonderful place if you have an account!
