The very first piece I've ever done, redone in a version more up to date with my current style. When designing this character, I wanted him to come across as the old man who's been doing this for a longer time than anyone else. He's seen a lot, and comes across as stern and strict, but ultimately its just because he doesn't want the others to fall victim to the same failures that he's witnessed. He needs to be the hardass that guides them so they can afford not to be.

I have no doubt that in a few days, I'll find something that I could improve on or edit, but as of this moment, I am more than happy to call this my final piece, as anything that I change will most likely not be on such a grand scale as to make a meaningful difference between the two.
