Forgot to comment on this at the time but what a cool animation! I agree with Lowres_Addict that it's full of atmosphere. I love how weighty everything feels too. That subtle screen shake when the lightning flashes does so much to make this feel like it's taking place in an expansive, connected environment.
I want to play this too oooo hahaha thank you so much for the appreciation! @Squirrelsquid! ![]()
Ahhaha thanks @basementApe ! ![]()
And I saw you waterfall!! Crazy stuff!

Oh, thanks so much for the comment @Lowres_Addict!
I plan to continue, doing some basic actions and building a larger room as study. =)
Regardless of color count related issues this is just FANTASTIC sprite in motion and (despite of small portion of it displayed) also a game scene with great atmosphere! I would love to see the next Metroid or Turrican remake or a followup with graphics like this, well done.
Very good! It was really an interesting learning experience, I had to better understand this type of analysis and the tools that help with correction, such as Replace Color .:star:
Hey, no problem! Looks much better now in color count. ^^/
Cool! I need to improve my control over the color count. I was careful with the character, but I messed up the background and fx.
I removed and optimized more now; the count was reduced from nearly 3,000 colors to about 490. I'll be optimizing further soon, grouping colors better <3
Edit: I finished, doing 16 colors to the character and 14 to the environment (30 colors total)
This does look great, however due to some of the effects it's drastically blowing the color count up. I don't know if there'd be something you could do to minimize them, but I don't think we can realistically add this as it is atm with almost 3k colors.
Wow!, thanks my friend @SeDiceBisonte , gorgeous feedback!
