The room looked like a gallery but in fact it was a prison, with each frame a cage.

But one cage had broken, leaving an empty canvas inside...

Here's how my first three entries look joined together:

Drawn as my third entry for Pixelween 2025 as well as the 13th October 2025 Pixelween 2025: The Loss weekly challenge.

Colours - Max 19 from ParadoxWhimsy's atmospheric Azahar Streets palette
Animation - No.
Transparency - No.
