This art is simply too perfect to not come to fruition. It's been a real pleasure to see the art and the animations and creativity on show. Maybe the project needs to go onto kickstarter and get significant backing so that it can be reinvigorated and picked up by completionists.
It's a shame. I am sure if you'd put yourself out there and look for people who already made games, they would be happy to work with you. But of course it's the most difficult part to find a good team you can rely on to make games.
But the art in itself is greatly enjoyable too.
Project went sour 2 years ago. As usuall.=) Unfortunately I dont have enough hours in a day to acomplish anything that big combining it with other projects.. Most of the assets from it I planned I finish for the art sake.
Cool work. I especially like the rock column, After like 15 years I am eally wondering if you will ever will manage to turn those into a full game. My favorite animated bit is the coin in the piggy.
But apparently you did a chef's kiss on that lava animation.
But really impressive!
I love the texture/shading of the rocks too. And the animation of the smoke really works well.

Fantastic work as always. Although it was annoying to make, it turned out great, so it was worth the effort.
What a beautiful scene! This is another one of my favorite pieces of yours! The coloring, forms and clusters are on another level (as always). I particularly like the shading and coloring on the rocks, it is some of the best I ever seen and I think it looks beautiful!
As for the animation, I think it is superb. Everything is incredible well animated. I really like the lava, and how it moves. I can see this taking a ton of time, but in the end I think the result speaks for itself. The animation on the characters is also amazing. The main character is amazingly animated, I really like how the belt swings when he moves.
The little pig is also a great addition and I really like the coin flip animation too.
Though I think that my favorite part, is by far, the throne and the character on it! First of, the smoke animation, is awesome. I really like how you animated stuff such as smoke and liquids you always make the feel sooo smooth! Adding to that, I really like the animation on the specter and the little lava (or maybe power connections) that connect with the orb!
And as always I like the small details and creatures around the scene, such as the little lava lizard on the left corner!
As for critique I personally don't have any, you are way behond my skill level, so I don't have much to say. Though, I though I would point out that there seems to be some short of light showing up in some of the frames (specifically frames 1, 2 ,3), on the bottom rocks. I personally found this weird as the light has a blue-ish tone, so I am not really sure how it fits in with the scene.
Regardless, amazing work as always and really inspiring! Hope we get to see more!
