I apologize for overlooking some noise in the piece, but I wouldn’t like to modify it. Is this issue considered critical? If this makes the piece unsuitable for the platform, I’m fine with not submitting it
Something about the effect on the fella in the middle is blowing up the color count here, any way you could reduce it?
Every time you upload a piece you are being presented with the rules of the gallery. Pixel Joint is trying to keep a coherent standard of works and each piece need to follow those rules. There is an ongoing debate about revisioning some of the rules, but even if it happens soon, I don't think the palette control (rule 4) will be changed. It is an aesthetical standard of the retro pixel art approach that was followed here for two decades. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but it is something we are trying to honour as a legacy. If you will put any effort to reduce the palette to some degree, as a form practice, I'm sure it will get accepted.
