"Organic, you say?"

Drawn for one of the C64 graphics competitions at Fjälldata 2026 in Östersund, the Republic of Jamtland.

Commodore 64 hires bitmap mode: max 2 colours per 8x8 pixel block, from a fixed palette of 16 colours.

This picture also uses a total of 40 hardware sprites (max 8 per scaline) to get around the colour restrictions in some areas, and for expanding the height of the picture from 200 pixels to 242 pixels by placing sprite graphics in the upper and lower border.

One of the sprites used to make the witch's left hand green is displayed too high on the screen, causing some pixels to appear in the wrong place. After spending 24+ hours without sleep trying to finish everything in time for the remote entry deadline I was far too tired to notice, so this is the version that was released.
