This pixel art work started as an anatomy/posing challenge, a field of drawing I really suck at. I enjoyed much more as I previously thought I would. Really glad how it turned out. Made over the span of two weeks.
The palette was inspired from Balatro sprites. It was great to work with some color restriction.
Feedback is welcome, it was a real brain-teaser to make thoses suits with such a various and complicated cast. I have read that the sorting of some characters can be a bit divisive however I found it the most convenient choice for me. Feel free to edit it your way! This is a public mod available for anyone on Balatro PC.
Tried my best to do something good with the preview, though it might be a bit better. What do you think? I feel like making good preview is an art on its own!

Overall it's really cool. If I had to criticize something I would say the first two kings are not of the same quality (chara-design wise) than the rest.
Their design is a little bland and they look more like some general or adventurer than a king.
I particulary like the diamond cards and the queen of clubs!
