I love the idea. However, it took me a couple of rewatches to understand what exactly was happening here(I'm not familiar with 'Kirby' physics). I think maybe a couple more frames with Kirby swallowing/chomping the creature might sell the concept a bit better to simple rubes like myself. That, or position the Kirby's eyes higher on the bug's head or body, and his red feet/shoes to the side, to better symbolize that he's taking the creature's form, or currently wrapped around him. I say this, as it also took me a while to realize that was his feet on the creature's head and his face was on the bug's foot.
Other than that, I like the fat lines and cute style. Love to see fun animations like this. Great job!

Dunno if ill revise this one any time soon, but I should have definitly planned some of it better. I just kept adding frames and at some point it just needed to be 'done'. There was an inbetween somewhere at some point, but this felt snappier. Your right tho it could use readability adjustments.
