Joined an arpg some time ago that's with Pokémon but set in a post-apocalyptic time a couple of thousand years into the future. Didn't turn active until very recently though.
First quest received was to escort a client's Pokémon and cargo safely to a customer.
It's been some time that I did a bigger isometric piece, or well, isometric at all and I'm definitely rusty. So many things that I could work on more but there's a limit to how much time I'm willing to spend on a piece. Started on Monday and finished late Thursday and has been almost the only piece I've worked on these days.
The way I "colour" the lines definitely raised the colour count by a bit. Basically take the lineart, clipping mask, lower opacity and use lightest version on the lighter parts and shadow colour in the shadow areas. Quick and effective way to get an ok outline that's coloured. But yeah, a few extra colours added to say the least lol.
Base palette used is Mutant16 by Trigonomicom ( https://lospec.com/palette-list/mutant16 ) which I've then expanded quite a bit to make it work for me and this piece. It will definitely serve as a base palette for most pieces set in serveral areas in this arpg. I will however most likely not upload them here. |
