That's lovely! European goldfinches are my favourite bird for a similar reason. The first year when I moved into my house, they were everywhere. The tree and cable outside our house would be full of them and I fell in love.

Thank you! Foxes sometimes co-exist in one den with badgers, so they have a very special meaning to me. And a lot of jackdaws have been coming to a bird feeder I placed this winter, so they somehow became my favourite birbs.
