Superb job on this. The design and world building of the trees is great, and the cocoon cavern really sells the otherworldlyness. Neat to read about the HGW influence, too
@SeDiceBisonte thank you! I wanted to make the concept lean less on 'alien worlds' but have it be something a bit closer to home. Have the emphasis be more on nature in a possible world (or future earth) where humans are irrelevant. I like the scene in HG Well's the Time Machine where the protagonist travels so far in the future there are giant crab like creatures and crustaceans everywhere on a vast landscape. So I wondered something similar, about if plants and insects took over.
I wasn't familiar with the term ligne claire until you mentioned it just now, but I see what you mean. I was trying to make the lines easy to read.
Thank you for your comment!
This is such an interesting concept. I love how it captures such a different feeling to the other entries that have been submitted so far. The greens, purple and brown look so good together, and the crisp ligne claire style is lovely.
Thank you phenomenician!
