this one was tough! the wires took me forever, and i'm still not super happy with them, although i'm a *lot* happier than i was before (i was about to give up on the idea of having exposed wiring because i couldn't make it look right).

otoh, i really like her pose, the concept, and oddly enough, i think that the nipples came out extremely well lol.

normally i try to write more than this but dang i'm tired now.

--- (edit: several hours later) ---

lol one long nap later i feel a bit more willing to write/reflect a bit more about it.

i mean the main intereting feature of this piece is the exposed wiring, and i feel like it mostly came out okay overall, but there are some parts, in particular the wiring on her lower torso, where it makes her skin (or whatever it is) look a bit thin. i could have fixed this with better shading, i think (with a couple more colors, it seems very likely), but at the time when i was drawing in the wires i was just kinda... exhausted lol.

the wiring on her neck mostly looks good, conversely. although i think the collar area looks a bit flat. the larynx area looks pretty nice though, i think that was a nice touch and i should have done something like that in the torso, to break up the monotony.

as i mentioned above, i think the nipples came out really nice. sure, real nipples don't look that shiny, but something about them looks very good.

one thing that, now that i have clearer eyes, doesn't work at all is the skin highlights. the white i used for the light skin highlight and the white i use for the skin are too close, you can't see it at all unless you know to look for it.

i also think the green (pseudo-shaved) part of her hair looks a bit odd. but maybe that's fine?

anyway, overall this was a pretty ambitious piece and i'm happy with it. i'd like to do more stuff like this in the future, with robo-girls with some exposed internals (not full on mechabare, but similar vibes). probably not with quite the same character, since i want to iterate on the parts of the design i don't like.

I think you did an absolutely excellent job on this piece and I hope you dont mind me rambling a bit, not many people do long descriptions explaining things as you did. Like you mentioned I think the wiring looks incredibly good and your anatomy(nipples included lol) is really on point.

The lower torso wiring does make the 'skin' look thin, and probably just another pixel of the same grey shading on that edge would do it.

The collar area you say is flat I think provides some good visual contrast to the detailed wires, and really sells the idea that this is a manufactured and artificial thing, if you were to increase the details there, something like panel lines that suggest where the chest piece meets the collar/neck piece might be fun to explore.

For the skin highlight, I dont know if it's needed, the abscence again really pushes the artificial aspect. But it could be worth dropping the primary skin tone down closer to grey like f2f2f2 to get the contrast back

The green part of the head does look a bit odd, likely due to the angle of the head. You could probably size it down by like 15% and itll look more natural, or you could push the artificial idea further and make it less natural like squaring it off or something weird.

I would say there are some missed opportunities to continue the wiring/segmentation on the wrist, knee, and ankles, as those joints are all pretty similar to the ones that already have wiring. Which I know is a tall order since its a lot of exhausting and fiddly details but I believe it would have really taken the piece as a whole to the next level.

Now that's probably the most I've ever written for a comment, all in all I think this is an awesome piece that you should definitely be proud of, hopefully I didnt cross a line.Thank you for sharing your piece and your thoughts, looking forward to the next one!
