wew, this one took almost a solid 24 hours of work (and quite a bit of missed sleep, so in a way it's lucky that i'm still unemployed, lolsob), which puts it among my most time consuming. it's also my most technically sophisticated by a wide margin, i basically never do the shading like this (although i might in the future, it came out great, even if it's *so* time consuming, it's mostly time consuming in a way i can just... really get in the zone and work on it without thinking about much else in a pleasant way)

as for stuff i like about this one, it's basically the way the lighting of her skin looks. i'm really really happy with it / proud of it. her ear is a particular area where i'm proud, and it took a lot of looking at ear diagrams (and then not following them quite accurately lol but it looks good so whatever)

now, for stuff that i'm less happy with, there's a few things. for one, i don't think the screwdriver looks great. it's like, passable. the color choice on it is less than perfect (maybe a little oversaturated given the rest of the colors in the piece?). another part i don't like so much is that her foot is a little wonky (i couldn't *quite* make it convincingly connected to her leg in the right way, as it is i think her shin would have to be bent impossibly). i also think her hair came out weird in a few places (but overall pretty good), and lastly, her facial expression looks a bit derpy.

this probably doesn't need to be tagged as nsfwish but i'm playing it safe

yeah, most of my pieces were considerably less work... this one was a grind. my next one (assuming i don't drop my current project) will be too (even moreso, maybe). i low key kinda decided that i'd rather put more effort in on fewer pieces than less effort in on more.

Honestly, the work put into this shows, compared to most of your other works in your gallery. I've seen some of your submissions prior, and they look great, but as a base. Beyond that, alot of them seem to feel as though they are incomplete or unfinished, strangely. I know they are as complete as they can be, and I don't mean they are incomplete, in that you quit on the piece early, but moreso, the lack of detail or highlights, makes it seem like you were nearly doing a one-to-one trace of an existing reference or model, and calling it a day. At least with this one, I can see the special care taken with the highlights, anti-aliasing, and pixel placement, that the others don't have, which separates it from the pack. Essentially, it's you moving beyond layer 1 or 2 of the pixeling or art process, which I can appreciate, despite some of the small flaws about the piece.
    Either way, great stuff!
