almost a decade ago. Usually alot of the pieces from back then were of lesser quality, but still were good in their own respective times.

perhaps NOW it's over-rated. But pixel joint was still quite new in 2004, thus the "standard of quality" was much lower. And everyone's skill was wasn't as good.

Very keen eye Brian. I cleaned up a lot of the rogue pixels, desaturated and changed the shirt and bandana color. Knocked a ton of colors out.

need work on your anatomy. legs seem out of proportion compared to his torso and arms.

Also the shading is a bit dull.

Ah the familiar lizard warrior from pixelation :) I love this character (mainly because it radiates some from of character if you know what I mean). It looks relaxed, confident and in charge... quite a lot for a (not so little) sprite!
You could fine tune some colors, yes, but I'm now so used to it that it would look rather strange I thing...

I agree with the color overload assessment. I think taking the purple shirt to a more earthy tone would work better, but I've been too lazy to change it.
