for a small pixel battle on tip.it forums, supposed to relate to something heavy and metal.. didnt have time to do anything too big so I decided to make whatever I could. It turned out alright imo, don't make many mockups but im proud with the ground and character.

The boss is supposed to be a pile of scrap metal which has fused itself into a robotic form, didn't think too much into it, just knew It had to have a robot of some sort in. :)

The style is cool, but the character(?) on the right is a bit messy. I didnt get what it is.

techniquewise it's good, wouldnt have suspected else, but the boss indeed doesnt look too menacing.

i'm a limbless torso and i will attempt to hurt you now.

 

pallette works okay though, and the tiles are love.

aw well thats pretty unfair considering I only had like less than 2 hours before the deadline, I thought I did pretty well. :(

ill re-do the robot when I got more time.

I really like this mock-up of yours, I think the charactor is fantastic!  I would agree that the boss lets it down though.

I'm not liking the low-contrast about it, when sprites are that small I always feel they should pop out from the background.

I like everything about it except for the robot. the robot just plain sucks! It looks more like a giant frankenstein without arms or legs...
