i tried to make it look like realistic picture, that's the point (except gun etc, that's because i got rushed before competition deadline).

..so, it doesn't suppose to look like "retro pixel art"..
at that time ('93 - '9x) when i did more pixelling, it was the deal.

few facs regarding to this pic:

- it's 100% handmade with deluxe paint 2 (pc)

          i found an old german lifestyle magazine where i spotted that image..
          ##notice##  IT'S NOT A SCAN ##notice## :)
          i drew it by hand from that magazine.. so if that reduces the value of this pic, its ok :)
          so.. no scanning, tracing, layers etc.. check out deluxe paint and u know how to do that          shit... of course no photoshop or similar..

uhh what else to say.. i've been doing pixels now +10 years.. check "demo scene"
by this point i've propably made total fool of myself, but hey, who cares..

p.s. i can surely send some other images.. maybe i even find the WIP of this image..

i fully agree with you, bob.

i am going to revise this for several reasons, i will outline them:

1. failure to provide some form of evidence defending yourself
2. not defending yourself
3. so many respected and great pixel artists questioning this.

please, if you have evidence, resubmit this.  i would love for this to be real, but i am highly doubtful.

The perspective of the gun isn't broken. I think it's an actual type of gun. The specific name doesn't ring a bell. However, the choppy  style of shading doesn't seem like something manually done. Not to mention, her facial expression lacks any expression, given her situation. Looks as if it was taken directly from a old fashioned 1950's pic online, and was put together with other images. I'm no expert, but this just doesn't add up.

i might have beleived you, if you gallery had previous work....

My money says index painted with brush tools...The perspective is broken on the gun and the hand holding it...*shrugs* Beyond that I'm holding my call on this piece as well until I see a ref or WIP...

Umm, where do you see dithering? I don't see any technique of dithering being used in this piece. I would also agree, that this is most likely a photo reduction, if not Pixel Art.

Wow, this looks so perfect that I can't help to think this is not total pixel art. But like others said, a reference pic will help. If this truly is done by hand you sure know how to use your colors

that sucks, i know.  this is kick ass if it is pixel art...  but thanks to all those who have cheated here and everywhere has to make us question all the new art out there...

The B.O.B speaks the truth. I won't approve this at all because I suspect it's either a photo reduction with touch ups or just a photo trace.

I'd love to see a ref pic or a WIP animation on this one if you have it.

Looks great. However, if possible, a reference might help this thing go into the gallery a little quicker. Also might help it not recieve some non-pixel art arguments. Just to save you the hassle, in the future...

The colors and dithering look so perfect I can hardly believe this is Pixel Art....
If I am mistaken, this is probably the best work I have ever seen here.
