I think it just needs Anti Aliasing on the outlines (you can use the darkest brown)

Minus the half-assed BG, this 'branding image' is good but as mentioned by exocet the outlining is weak.

ps: Logos can indeed be 3D.

This is quite nice, good colours too. I don't know if it's meant to be like that, but it looks a bit messy for some reason, probably because the black outline around the letter isn't properly antialiased.
