I don't remember already, but it was about 4-5 hours for a character and a day or two to animate.

Theres not much contrast for the mouth when the human characters talk, it just looks like their lips are expanding slightly, still, pretty awesome work.

Well, probably I'll do it one day. The main trick is deviding pixel lines to layers and moving them accross each other. Pretty simple effect actually :)
