@Ikke: You're right the composition could use some work. I didnt feel like relaying all the tiles from the original though haha. I'm thinking on making another mockup based on this 'game' though so I'll keep those points in mind :)
@Adarias: Another good point. I have issues with making grass tiles. More study time for me :)
Wonderful. Juicy volumes and lovely colors. Oncly crit is the composition of the piece: the hero is stuck to the edge of the screen and the road is empty. Also I don't like the dark blue pixels of 'antialias' on them blue flowers,esp the bottom pair.
Definitely has the Minish Cap look to it. Nice job, and I agree with Lawrence's statement about the shadows, since the highlights appear on the top left, the shadows should be facing to the bottom right side.
I like this but the only thing I'm not keen on are the shadows cast on the wall beside the protruding parts of the building which I think they should be sloped the other way.
I could see the zelda influence right from the preview, you did a great job at capturing some of that magic - I know how hard it was cuz I did try to do that numerous times but never succeeded :)
