Welcome to "Zero Signal". The world where two suns shining in the sky and high-tech constructions are growing like mushrooms after rain.
Strange weather phenomenons are covering planet's surface. Strong volcanic activities can be seen from distant places. Clouds of smoke, flashes and explosions of fire and lava - that area of planet is deadly for all creatures.
From far distances this happening looks like Burning Sunrise.

Heavy Stylus (Level 1 Rookie) @ 11/12/2009 02:01

Amazing.  Would look great as a horizontal scrolling piece in the end sequence of a 16 bit game :)

 wow, really good...

user
Zanaril (Level 1 Depressed) @ 6/30/2009 08:28

Amazing, especially with the colour restriction.

Just a thought: it might look good with animation, with it scrolling across, since at the moment it's not very noticable how both sides join up.

altagu (Level 1 Depressed) @ 6/29/2009 12:32

user
Larwick (Level 8 Tengu) @ 8/15/2007 11:09
I'm finding your WIP steps much more appealing than the final piece. Much, much more. Frames 4 and 5 (mainly 4), i find, are far greater than this. This is too sharp and choppy! with the lack of colours i can understand though. It's also the palette of 4 which i love, i find this one doesn't bring half the depth to the screen. Also that dude's head is soooo small! :/

That said, this is really nice. I love the transition between the right and left skies. Looks like a really interesting world. :)

user
etrigan52 (Level 1 Rookie) @ 8/15/2007 02:10
Ah, a classic

user
raynoa (Level 5 Soldier) @ 8/14/2007 01:54
Yes, Gary Tonge's works inspiring me a lot, I even printed some of his pictures and hung it on the wall of my room =)

user
Huggkruka (Level 1 Rookie) @ 8/14/2007 00:42
I like it, it's like Gary Tonge in pixels!

user

user
raynoa (Level 5 Soldier) @ 8/12/2007 23:01
Just returned back to home from rest, and seems that my pj messagebox is full of messages;) Big big thanks everybody for feedback and fav's! Seriously, I didn't expected such massive reaction for my picture. I just fond of hires sci-fi environments and landscapes, and I wanted to  try doing sci-fi landscape in pixelart technique. So weekly challenge became final push for me to do this. And I think my next pixelarts need to be not worse than this one, it will be hard to achieve=)

user
momovampire (Level 1 Rookie) @ 8/12/2007 02:12
Right down to the wide lens perspective distort thing.... this is a painting of a demigod!!

user
Scruffs (Level 7 Assassin) @ 8/11/2007 22:03
the image is truly great congratulations.  althought i feel you could have gone over this one more time because there are several places where aa is missing. great work regardless.

user

I see your very discreet use of reflections.

user
BlingShyne2 (Level 2 Flatfoot) @ 8/10/2007 08:11
This is awesome, I'd suggest taking the title off of the picture though, It seems out of place to me, but other thanthat this picture is incredible and a favorite of mine.

user
Adarias (Level 11 Bonsai) @ 8/10/2007 07:32
small bit of reflection work on the water.

It's very nice, what can I say?  The design is a little contrived but that's partly what the challenge was about.

user
inkspot (Level 4 Button Man) @ 8/10/2007 07:16
Hmm, I quite like the concept but I can't seem to find reflections :D

user
Malor (Level 4 Button Man) @ 8/10/2007 07:14

Great colors and pretty much everything. Only crit is that buildings don't integrate so good with the landscape.
