Megaman GTA style set in a Game Boy palette, for the weekly challenge. Remake an old game, I figured "Just like, but not exactly". I used three Megaman screenshots as reference, to give it the same look and feel.
I'm not so much upset about the fact that it's been taken down as much as the fact that it's been now, ex post facto. After it's been accepted into the gallery, after it's been in the challenge, and after people acknowledged that the rules were a bit unclear which is why it was accepted in the first place. There was a whole big ruckus and in the end someone made the decision to let this in because the wording of the contest rules led to several entries almost identical to mine. It kinda feels like someone gave you their word and then went back on it.
Hell, I wouldn't have even done this except for that fact that I thought that's what the challenge called for. On top of that, this is like what, my first challenge entry... ever? It's kinda tempting to run around the gallery pointing out "why didn't you take this down too?"
Meh, I'll just go fume this off somewhere.

I know it sucks. But it sucks to have to see proof after the fact as well. It sucks even more that you would do something like this and think it okay. Sometimes it takes awhile before someone approaches us with proof as such. Like it or lump it, that's the way it is.
I thought this issue was already resolved, what with the rules being unclear and all. Flip-flopping are we?
Technically that was my own work, I just had several screenshots that I looked at. Meh, guess I have no choice but to go along with it, since I was too slow to read between the lines. But I am curious why the sudden interest in such an old piece. A little spring cleaning of the gallery?
It kinda sucks to see this taken down, since it was already approved in the first place. But I suppose rules are rules.
