OK got it to 32 colors. It wasn't actually 64 to begin with. It was more like 42 but to an engineer that may as well be 64. I hand picked the pallette, a bit more than I wanted to do for a personal piece, but for you discriminating chaps I'm always open to critique.

A very nice scene, but 32 colours still seems a lot for the colour variation in the image. I think you could still pare it down to a more engineer friendly 4-bits per pixel with more sophisticated colour use and a bit of dithering. There are still some very close colours in there which you could consolidate for a start.
Also when you updated the image you didn't update the colour count. It still says 64 colours.
its not too difficult tracing the colours that put the count up... just take your palette + the final image, and select a colour from the pallete as secondary. Make the paint canvas larger Drag the piece away from its original place (make sure you have the selection method on transparent thingy) and youll get it replaced for the white bg colour. Repeat this until you have done all the colours in your palette, and youll probably see some left over pixels... those are the ones you need to remove/replace to lower the count... (Check and re-check your count in for example irfanview)...
But now about the piece itself... i like the looks. Maybe you could have played a bit more with the hue, but its certainly a good piece keep it up!
