My Ring Wraith. Might be a bit premature but I'm calling this final, since I'm gonna be off soon and I won't have time to hand it in before the deadline don't submit it now. I might update it later though. WIP for those interested: http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/4438/ringwraithwipub8.gif
22 colours.
Okay, right. So after much debate I have decided to keep the old one. Since half of you seem to like this and the other half the other. And personally, I enjoy this one more.
Very beautiful palette, and a well executed impressionistic/painterly style. There's a softness to this that makes him look a little more sad or pitiful, rather than evil.

this is really great. i fav'd it a while ago but i feel like commenting now, lol. I think that the palette is just awesome, blends well, and looks good on the eyes. i don't really see it as a ring-wraith, more of a hidden cloaked figure in some strange forest, but its still great, and your style has always been rather fun to look at and study. ^^
Thanks for all the repsonses. I finaly decided to go with the old one since I thought it looked much more stylized and appealing. The other robes were more realistic, but not very apealing. So there you have it :) Why are the hands too small though? They should measure to normal sized hands. (Perhaps you got confused and thought his hands are fuly in sight, While actually only the fingertips come from under the robe.)
Dude. Opacus. Absolutely positively best work ever. I'm amazed, you've improved so much and here you make something that's so stylish and wonderful. This is a perfect example of what hard work can bring you too.
Much, much better I think! The robe looks much more realistic now, but there's still something not quite right... I can't tell what, maybe I will find out later. And he looks a little bit fat Perhaps that's it.
Yes. I think that the black area should be extended more. It give sthe impression that he has a small head on a big body. Perhaps even enlongate the top of the hood.
I think the wraith needs to be completely reworked. the way the fabric falls is supposed to show what is under it and in this case it looks like a thick blanket thrown over a bunch of pillows. The background looks great though.
You have some good points there. I did a quick attempt to fix it. I might clean it up a bit more later. But, I added more shadows and more highlights.
Ceddo: That was intetnional. I could make the colours all cartoony and teletubby like. But it's a Nazgul. An evil ghost wraith. I think the colours need to be faded, otherwise the atmosphere would be ruined.
Wow, great colors! I love the palette and the background, very cool! But I think the folds on the wraith's robe don't look very realistic. They look rather flat, there should be more shadows and highlights at the same time.. Only the folds directly beneath the hood look realistic, the ones on the arms and on the rest of the body don't.. But the colors, oh man! Your color choice is amazing!
