Well, this is my first submission here. Not sure if this would make for a very good first impression, as this isn't near my best work. If you've noticed that it looks similar to the work of Basil or Amerup, note that I taught both of them how to sprite.

I'd up the contrast of the lines. Does this have anything to do with Teleka?

Unless they were meant to be very faded, you might want to make the stripes in the background stand out more, as I had to zoom in to see them.

It's a bit too simple, but for some reason, I like it. The background, although slightly colored, is quite appealing.
It's the same way I dither backgrounds, hah.
