This is the stage that's going to be used in the demo. I would have posted the tileset but I hardly used it and made much of the platforms and such on the spot. Also Theres no background and extra stuff because for the demo, the background is not needed.

I asked to hold off on backgrounds for now because backgrounds are usually massive compared to sprites and don't have much interactions with the player and thus require a minimal amount of programming that can easily be done so it would be an inefficient use of time when programming the main portion of the game such as programming player interactions, which requires much more consideration of the conditions that are necessary for various things.
parallax effects are very easy to create and can also be accomplished after the main portion of the game has been programmed.
Believe me I want a BG too, but since I'm not making the demo, Sensation is, I'm not the one to decide. He says that the BG doesn't require programing so he told me not to add it. Also this demo is only for me and Senstation. A demo that everybody is going to play will have a BG and stuff ofcourse. As you can see I just crammed as much stuff that Momotaro will interact with as possible so we can work out how things will work.
I would beg to differ and highly suggest you do add the BG in the demo. This game is all about the original take on things. Colors play such an important part too. Why not a static BG in the demo and then in the actual game have the BG use parallex layers ?
