my little contribution to this week's albumcover-challenge; 'so und so' by german band 'wir sind helden' - the original cover just screams for an iso-remake..

my first iso so far, tried to keep in simple and stylish (i'm not the kind of geek that starts with detailed castles =)

more difficult than i expected, i've learned that i like making topdowns better than isos.. respects to jalonso and the others, i now know why you are how you are, isos are no fun =)

Different, recognizeable and cool piece :) And now I have an idea of what I want to listen next, haven't heard Wir Sind Helden in about one year now... (or more possibly)...

From what I've seen this looks to be my fav for the contest thus far. Great job!

This is really nice for a first ISO project and it is definately a different take on the original album art. I like it

It's Jal...the grumpy old Isoman :O

isotomic? iso-tonic!
Love the little details strewn all over. And I actually prefer iso buildings from the top-down ones.
What is that gray thing with a hat in an armchair holding up it's middle finger?

Somehow when I saw the preview I thought it was yours and I was right. :S Nice remake of the original cover. I think it looks good as an isometric and the colors are pretty nice as well.

Larwick (Level 8 Regional Boss) @ 3/12/2008 19:18
Ooh, this looks really nice. Very clean and plasticy. :)
Not sure about the completely vertical shines, but i guess it adds to the style.

Slemsvamp (Level 6 Serial Killer) @ 3/12/2008 18:48

Much better than the original

jalonso (Level 11 Godfather) @ 3/12/2008 18:48
This is just awesome. Simplistic looking, perhaps but its very obvious you know how to control pixels.
I zoomed in and know exactly which individual pixels where the most difficult to decide on, lol.
Just be glad you didn't try to stick to a grid.

skamocore (Level 11 Dolphin) @ 3/12/2008 18:40
awesome :D love the shiny much more interesting (and shiny) than the original cover

and...yes lol at your foolish comment :P

Darth Mandarb (Level 10 Operative) @ 3/12/2008 18:14
VERY nicely done ... I don't know the album but I still enjoy the piece!

Acherhar (Level 5 Amethyst) @ 3/12/2008 18:03

Holy crap this is so awesome. I love the trees, and awesome idea re-envisioning the cover that way. A total win!

"my first iso so far, tried to keep in simple and stylish (i'm not the kind of geek that starts with detailed castles =)"  I lol'd.
