About the oxygen tanks in the second picture, the two should be att the bottom, not the top, furthermore I don't think it's used in operation (I could be wrong but it seems unlikely). Maybe it's Nitrous Oxide you think of? Even if oxygen were to be used wouldn't it be more practical with a oxygen concentrator? The fifth picture, is that supposed to be the 7½ floor? Otherwise maybe you should fine tune the sizes a bit. Finally, on the sixth picture the lighting looks like it has some kind of glare above the lamp, but under the lamp it looks like light hitting the wall. Unless you want it to look like glare I suggest that you "flatten" the light hitting the ceiling. ...And yes, I created this account just to write this.. I drink too much coffee..
actually I did place a shadow cast by the bookshelf, but I realize now that its barely noticable.
The perspectives should make sense, I build them by wireframing the objects with the line tool, using vanishing points. Only the second image didn't use any (the operating room), I just went with my nose for it (I think it shows, sadly)
@shmupstick: There obviously IS some room between them. The lack of shadow does make it tricky to grasp, tho.
I must say I think that this was a very hard thing to pull off and all the little perspective issues are trivial compared to the overall success of all the pieces. Only bit I find really out of place is the magnetic resonance thingie, which is, I believe, supposed to be visible through a glass. It's positioning is not compatible with the room we are viewing it from. It could be arbitrarily rotated like that, but it doesn't really fit intuitively.
I like it how you managed to subdue your messy style for commercial artwork, and in this respect the top one is the weakest.
I really like these! I have a few issues with some shading (particularly the book-shelf one ... the bookshelf itself doesn't fit in quite right) But the style is really good! You should be making Adventure Games over at AGS :)
Looking really great, though the perspectives seem to be off here and there. The only striking issue is that the bookshelf on the second last one doesn't cast shadows.
These are really wonderful. I do have a problem reading the second last one. Is the book shelf blocking the cupboards behind it? There's no room in between, is it?
