Good one, weird, but well done...

Depth of Field technicalities aside ... I like the image and the focal point.

At first I thought NPA until I zoomed in ... good job on the "blurring"

Miumau0 (Level 6 Made) @ 4/21/2008 06:35
Like adam said, Object is too tiny imo. Maybe the clock could be the object? Nice.

Lawrence (Level 10 Operative) @ 4/21/2008 05:28
DoF is supposed to depend on the camera's z axis (pointing away from the camera) but you seem to have applied it on the camera's x and y axis. The part of the clock you have in focus is on the same z level as the top of the clock so both parts should be in equal focus.

JerryPie (Level 11 Big Foot) @ 4/21/2008 05:07
btw how many colors is this, this may help answer adam's question about its authenticity.

you know this was a very hard challenge. you've done really well with it. I do think the more "in focus" part could be a little better, some AA, better dithering techniques...but this is pretty damn good.

It's key which open clock's lock, so it is main thig in picture)

oh my god!
i love that job!
the perspective is awesome!

Bloo (Level 5 Lieutenant) @ 4/20/2008 22:07
Wow, it really looks as if blurred! You are getting my vote

Adam (Level 9 Human) @ 4/20/2008 16:11

At the moment I'm tempted to give my challenge vote only for this piece because this is the one entry in wich depth of field really plays any role. Even though the blur effect seems suspiciously npa for me.

A thing I can't undertand is why you chosed the object in focus to be so tiny. It almost gets lost in the whole picture.

This is rad! Gorgeous!
