The style kicks ass, the colors are wonderfully done, everything is fantastic. It resembles his AoSth incarnation, the cartoonyness rules.

True, it does look like Sonic. But in Sonic 1, I think his spikes are the shortest in Sonic 1.

actually the spines are more reminiscent of the classic sonic look, it's only from the recent iterations that sonic has larger spines. =)

I like it! Sonic's spikes are typically bigger, but they look fine for this.
