no, as far as the font for ULTIMATE goes, honest truth i have never seen that before, however i do remember that when looking for a font style to use i had used a similar style font as another image i had seen, whether or not that person had chose to use that ultimate man font you had found i dunno, but yes that does bear an uncanny similarity, i will have to check that out, thanks for crits.

Did you deliberately play on the software house Ultimate 's slogan 'Ultimate - PLAY THE GAME'? You even used a similar font style.
As Hawk says, it couldn't be a Spectrum game.. could almost be a CPC game though ( with 2 colors less than it currently has), and Ultimate's games looked better in their CPC versions.

I like it, it is very retro coloured (reminds me of early pc games!), but alas it couldn't possibly be a speccy game due to the fact that you have two many colours in any one place e.g the keys, you have the green and black keys presented on a purple background with a grey shadow, a colour count of three, however the spectrum could only handle two colours in any 8x8 square.

Other than that it's cool!!

Nice use of color here, it's very striking, lol.  One crit I have is that Ultimate man's enemy's gun is hard to see, and it'll be moreso if he ever walks in front of the gray mountains.
