This was a birthday present for Wolverine, one of my favorite PJ'ers.

The progress animation was amazing just like this piece is and I am always blown away with what people can do with limited colour pallettes and you are definitely one of them. Great Work!

marpe (Level 1 Rookie) @ 9/28/2011 10:27

Really love your progress animations, so fun to watch!

TheoVision (Level 8 Regional Boss) @ 2/17/2011 15:41

great style, very good pixeling!

gameproducer (Level 1 Intern) @ 7/15/2010 13:52

hah, that mini wolve is cooler (in some twisted way)

C-IV (Level 1 Rookie) @ 5/13/2010 00:01

This ws epic before I looked at the full image, but it became 10x as epic when I saw little Wolverine in the middle there with the "Grrr" lol. Wonderful in all aspects, from shading, to facial expression, to body stance, to the comedy in there.

slym (Level 8 Rear Admiral) @ 6/6/2009 06:28

That's awesome. (I know its a year later). I just think the hair is too flat at the top of his head. Not sure about the black outline.

AsimosVagan (Level 1 Depressed) @ 3/20/2009 09:06

Wow, fantastic! Would you mind to draw Batman? Lobo? Elektra? ... ;)

Fenne (Level 3 Stalker) @ 8/12/2008 09:31
That totally rocks!

Arachne (Level 4 Murderer) @ 5/25/2008 17:04
No, it was drawn in 2006.

sharprm (Level 4 Deputy) @ 5/25/2008 15:59
No probs - I'm not trying to make you rework this - it must've taken forever already. Drawing with proper construction sounds like the best path if you did. Did you draw this pic recently?

Arachne (Level 4 Murderer) @ 5/25/2008 14:18
sharprm - Thanks! I think that sorts out a few things. I'm not good with dynamic poses, and I wanted him to hunch forward slightly, but I guess that didn't really work. I think the best thing would be to start over with something that was constructed right to begin with instead of doing all those changes and struggling to make it all fit together. Bleh, I need to practice drawing people more.

hmm... probably been programming too long, forgot what a woman looks like...anyways, did an edit on shading of chest area, at least to show what i thought the issue was http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e199/sharprm/wolverine2.gif Thats a nice pallete arachne and i love how you did the secondary light source on the face

hotnikkelz (Level 1 Rookie) @ 5/24/2008 08:00
sweet, really sweet

castiboy (Level 5 Assistant Manager) @ 5/24/2008 07:08
*worships* this is just too good :0

Carnivac (Level 8 Behemoth) @ 5/24/2008 02:08
You must have some reeeeally ugly women in your town :P

sharprm (Level 4 Deputy) @ 5/23/2008 21:00
I liked the start pose more. I guess when you made the hair smaller, redraw his left arm and redrew the shirt with shading like breasts made him more like a her. I don't know that much about anatomy but maybe the left shoulder should be wider and shading on shirt seem flatter.

Arachne (Level 4 Murderer) @ 5/23/2008 09:17

Thanks for all the kind words!

What would you rather I'd left unchanged, sharprm? I'm sure there's something I've done to screw up his anatomy, but I don't see where you find feminine features.

sharprm (Level 4 Deputy) @ 5/22/2008 19:33
Thats pretty good but some of the changes you made in that WIP hurt the piece - is it just me or does Wolverine look like a butch lady?

DeProgrammer (Level 7 Underboss) @ 5/21/2008 19:07
I more or less bow down before you. You're amazing--up there with Fool, I think.

skeddles (Level 11 Sphinx) @ 5/20/2008 18:30
You need to stop being so awesome.

Solitude (Level 1 Rookie) @ 5/20/2008 09:11
Only one word can describe this: Wow!

Ricki (Level 1 Seaman) @ 5/20/2008 09:11
Oh, this is great....it doesnť need more words...Awesome work...5/5 and fav'd....

KwIjL (Level 5 Captain) @ 5/20/2008 00:50
IIIIIII love it!

B_j0k3r0 (Level 3 Sergeant) @ 5/19/2008 14:10

WhyMe (Level 6 Hitman) @ 5/19/2008 11:16

Very impressive, true pixel ART!

And I love the smaller one

Carnivac (Level 8 Behemoth) @ 5/19/2008 08:29
One of the best birthday presents I ever got :)  Stylish artwork, coloring and masterful dithering and low color usage.
