I spent so long on this one! It started out as dithering practice, really, but I ended up putting enough work into it that I think it deserves a place in my gallery. Its palette is also my largest ever.
If it's not already obvious, I must say that I used a 3D reference. I hope that's not a problem, and I will gladly post a WIP animation if there is any demand for it.

Thanks for your comments. I think I mostly just needed to get away from it for a while. I've gone back to it—taking some inspiration from your work, Mr. Scene —to smooth it out. So far it's looking good, and radically different: I may have to end up posting the new one as a separate icon!
