Tentative logo for GrafX2, the 256-color painting program I'm contributing to. (shameless plug: Check it on googlecode!) It's mostly an exercize of working in 4 "colors", because the program picks 4 colors from the palette of the image being edited: lightest, darkest, and two in-between, to display its own GUI elements, including icons and such logo as this one. I used the black (darkest) background because it's meant to appear in the "help" screen that uses this solid background. I also made some tests with the light color which is used for normal windows panels. Made with Grafx2, for testing the program itself. I worked in greyscale, but just for pixeljoint I tuned up the colors to something richer. No idea for preview, so I just animated the steps. |
