Well, I haven't pixelled in a a while and I thought I should make something up in order to keep up my skills. I saw my first piece here and decided to redo it.
I am VERY pleased with this new version. I decided that the person wasn't interesting and it would look better without. I also decided that black wasn't gonna work for me here. I may have screwed up a bit of lighting on the statue. The light source is from the left, behind the temple in the background, if you couldn't tell.
So, I would like some good C+C as I am still eager to improve this.

I very much so understand what you're saying about the steps, I hadn't thought of that. I can fix that. The light source isn't actually behind the pyramid I guess, even though that's what I said. From the way I made it, it should be over the pyramid off to the left of the image, but that would make the top of the pyramid be fully lit. I'll do that. Thanks much.
Pyramid looks like steps not a pyramid (ie. need to show top one has smaller length and width, not just length). Don't agree with perspective of temple... not sure if light could reach the statue from all the way behind the temple ... why not draw the whole scene on paper to easily see these issues + solutions. I would definitely find it hard drawing a complicated scene in a small box with small colors without a plan.
