I doodled this guy in Deluxe Paint, as a test to see if I could manage a fighting game project. Since fighting games usually imply strong guys and relatively realistic proportions, I focused on that. The colors are a tad dull though.

Fighting games require a lot of animation, so it is useful to keep colour count as low as possible - for easier drawing. Also you can stick to chibi/SD look of Neo-Geo Pocket Color fighting games - they are simple yet effective and will fit better if you plan to use animal characters.
