Thankyou for the crits, i had concerns about the face allready but i couldn't figure out how to fix it and so left it. However it's definatly something i will have to look at for future peices. (not changeing this now it's sent off and i've received payment) As i am used to drawing women i'm unsuprised he turned out girly! I'll have to pay more attention to the neck and face next time, thankyou. : )
I'm far from an anatomy experty but I'm pretty sure you have some anatomy issues all around.
Obliques, face/head, arms (his left elbow is odd, and pointy, right arm is wonky, don't think it bends like that, and the musculature of course), pelvic area, neck, and the area between his chest and abs.. His chest/nipples seem to be unaligned, too.
I think someone can continue and critique on this much better than me, but I thought I'd point out anyway.
Also, honestly, I thought it was a very strong woman at first. I mean when I looked at the preview I thought it was a dude. Then I looked at the picture and said "Oh nevermind, that's a woman..", then I looked at your Autho's notes, and again, was wrong.
Sorry if that was a bit harsh, my intentions are always just to help.
A guy looking like that, I would not kick out of bed, heh :3
You should know though that he is just too pretty (eg. has a woman-like chin, not enough 'blunt' looking shading on the face, and his neck is shaded in a rounded way which you're just not going to see on a guy)
Even if he's supposed to be very pretty, those facial characteristics are beyond the realm of plausibility. I also think the dark areas emphasizing the abs (and surrounding area) are just too strong, even if that's the area you intended to emphasize.
Thanks for the crits, i can see where your coming from with all of that except the nipples! They're right, i double checked in a mirror with both myself (though i'm a girl) and one of my friends (who isn't ripped like that but the same principles apply) and when you ahve your arm over your head they do raise like that.
I'd say the efimminity would come from as neota suggested the face and neck area which is something i'll have to pay more attention too next time. Either way, thanks for the feedback, it's allways nice to get help. : )
