The icon of hope, the face of fear.
The icon of hope, can it be trusted? That face, the one that smiles and promises things will be better. That hope that spreads and fills the hearts of everyone, it brings them joy, it brings them drive, the drive to do the right thing, the drive to act right, to feel right, to be defined as right.
Right?
What if the face of hope is nothing more than a scapegoat for fear? To cover up the fear. What if the face is just used to push fears own agenda forward? To take that hope in which they believe they are doing the right thing, that will do nothing more than strike fear into the hearts of those who believe in them. People follow hope blindly, people look at a face, that makes them happy, that makes them feel good. But…do they really look at it?
Do you look past that face?
Do you look past that hope?
Do you look past the thing which gave you promise for better, for you, for everyone?
Do you look past what you believe?
Or just stare at what you want to believe?
This is my entry for the weekly challenge, I had quite a bit of fun doing this, I absoulutely loved doing it. The little writing above this was for fun when I was thinking about what to do for the challenge.
Thanks for looking, please enjoy it.
A very special thanks goes out to pik, who gave me the suggestions needed to make it look a whole lot better than it used to. Thanks man~ |
