I might just have to do these in fuse beads, too, like I did your Terrifying Monsters! If anyone is interested in checking out my plastic versions of the Monsters, check out http://www.pixelgasm-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=9&start=0 Logan, your stuff is amazingly sick and wonderful!
Cool, my favorite is the 2nd red guy in the third row. He looks like he has a tomato for a head.
yeah lol last night i figured it out, pretty simple eh? thanks for the heads up.
not if you vectorize them and preserve the pixel work instead of redrawing thme in a vector-ish fashion.
Whilst not quite as interesting as the terrifying monsters, these are still very awesome. I really want to reach into the screen and pull one out.
you'll have better results if you just vector them.
if i could i would print this and put it on my wall.
does anyone know of a program that can blow up pixel images bigger without distorting it?
These rock. it would be fun to print and mount them on foam-core at about 6 inches and prop up around the office for decor.
They all are awesome, but my favorite is still nagol (but they all are kick ass awesome).
Anyway I thin there is a lack of ridiculous animal heads like hippo, elephant, snake etc., like the Battle Beasts.
And I think Battle Beasts are much cooler than the actual toys
feels like one of those is about to pop up from your happy meal in any second.
PS: that indiana jones-esque text up there sack uss.-
Unfortunately, it must have been past my time, I don't recall battle beasts, however I would still likely collect these, if they were toys, they are just far too cool.
It's true that they all might look a bit similar in style, but honestly, I like them like that. You can tell they're part of a set, they compliment each other in the set. Anyways, they just look really good.
I like how you modeled most of them after some kind of creature, or role. (I see a bull, eagle, ninja, and a samurai)
I suppose I'll say my favorites.. They are 3, 10, 11, 13, 14, and 15 (2 and 4 are also pretty cool) Heck, I love just all of them.
The first one and seventh one are my favourites :)
Goo work!
This is mad rad. I love your art man, always have.
Cheers. Was trying to remember what they reminded me of. Battle Beasts yup. Which I originally started collecting cos of their link to the Transformers but mine all got stolen. Anyways yeah these be definitely the sorta thing I could imagine collecting and trading with friends at school.
Lollige: I see what you're saying. Going with the 80's/early 90's toy thing though (google Battle Beasts), they really aren't supposed to be completely different. Similar style of armor/general body shape with a good deal of individual differences.
Arachne: I limited myself to 7 colors (black constant) on each individual alien, which might account for what you've described.
Panda: Tomato Barbarian is probably my favorite too.
df0: Heh, I see you already mentioned battle beasts while I was writing my response.
Man, I loved the terrifying monsters, and these are great too. No. 3 and 10 are favs. The silhouettes might be similar, but each one is still unique with suitable details. It reminds me more of Battle Beasts (which i loved as a kid) more than he-man.
The colors totally give the 80~90's toy feel, so they are fine the way they are.
My favourite is the 10th one, the one that looks like a tomato with a scar.
Now go make them into toys and the collector in me will make me buy them all :B
The colours aren't that different from eachother, wich might make the characters look more smimilar than they are, mix up the colours a little. They look great overall tho'!
seconding dumbo here. bubblehead, four eyes, three eyes, two eyes, one eye, horns, tentacles.. enough variantion for me. faved.
I don't get what the others are complaining about. These are wonderful indeed!
Wow! These remind me of the old He-man figures! Great job!
If these had been actual toys it's likely I would have owned them as a kid and got the whole set. I really like the designs and the color schemes remind me greatly of toys from the late 80's and early 90's
Wonderful designs, but I think the color choices leave something to be desired. Since there is no variation in the color of different parts of their bodies or different parts of armor, they're not far enough away from being the same character repeated with hue change as the only difference. The use of color in your terrifying monsters varied a lot more and made them look much more interesting together.
It's hard to pick a favorite, but I think mine will have to be number 7, the purple-green one, although I also like numbers 1, 5, 12 and 14. :)
be shure that I like them :) All have something interesting ... my favourite is on the second row first from left :) Also see that we have a woman hahaha
jeez lollige dont be a hater
if this lalala higher rating lalala maybe next time lalala
are you really looking to nitpick that hard?
how much better can this get?
Hmm, the terrifying monsters were that good because they were all different. These feel all the same (even though they are not.)
That makes me feel the whole group is not any better than one loose. Maybe if you picked the 5 best and different ones, I would have given a higher rating, but chances are that just one of them is the best.
However, you have again used that style of yours I really like very well, and produced something awesome!
Oh Lord! Perfect palette.
