Hey, I know this palette! It's painfully familair. Good usage. And yeah, it does at first look like you just stretched the image horizontally 2x, but obviously you didn't. Down with Linux!
Now that's better. Form is adequate. Maybe pic a bit too much anti-aliased so looks blurry in places where it should be more contrast.
It's fixed..
Looks good, you should make more pics like this pixel.
Errr... what I did was use a previous pic I used as ref (will post when on my own PC), and redid it by hand widepixel style. Hence the flattened look, and the reason why you doubt its origins. So I'll make him taller now that I've understood how to work with widepixels. Thanks for responding and giving good advice!
The eyes and the length make you very suspicious about not having this made by hand :/
Why dont you have him longer, and can you post your refferrence?
You can't just draw something at 1x and then just double width, 2x pixels aren't working that way (except for axonometric projection turning to isometric) - they are drawn by 2x wide brush or by 1x pixels placing each pixel twice - so you'll see where lines go.
this is pretty cool but I think just because they are wide pixels it doesnt need to look stretched, I mean you could compinsate by making him taller or thiner and then due to the wide pixels he will look correctly proportioned, rather than looking like you spriting it with normal pixels and then stretched it.
This is a very nice and clean job. Great! And thanks for the favorite :)
